The Mjöga Lake
There is the opportunity to have great nature experiences around Mjöga Lake . The village team has cleared a path and painted/put up yellow poles and signs that show the way up to the Lake of Mjöga.
You can start the hike from Rydal.
Yellow posts and signs show the way up to the Metölyasjön. Green poles apply around the lake.
If you want to go for a shorter walk of 25 minutes, follow the arrow back towards Rydal
The Mjöga lake loop is a hiking trail that connects to the roughly 3-mile-long hiking trail Ekleden.

The loop is generally considered a medium difficulty trail is 10.5 km and takes an average of 2 h 59 min to walk. This is a popular trail for bird watching, fishing and hiking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of the day. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit at any time.
You can also start the cut-out Mejloasjö loop from Mariebergsparken in Kinna. The trail reaches after 1.5 the southern tip of the Metöjåsjön, which you can either follow around or at its northern end continue on the Ekleden
Efter c:a 500 på stigar i parken går vandringen huvudsakligen på grusväg (Horndalsvägen) fram till sjön. Leden runt sjön följer “naturliga” stigar i blandad barr-och lövskog med spång över sankmarker och bör inte vålla några besvär förutom strax nära sjöns södra ända, och på den östra sidan, där ett bergparti kan vålla lite problem om man har “ont i benen”.
