Maria Gustafsson (maria's yarn) talks about her life with yarn and knitting needles - how did it all really start?<\/span>
How does she do what she does?
<\/span>She talks about what it was like to start and run a company, what she does today and about her design and what inspires her.\u00a0
<\/span>At the end, Maria will present her book
<\/span>"Knit an easy one, a difficult one or an in between from top to toe"
<\/span>She will also be showing off the clothes from the book.
<\/span>Maria will have books for sale and will sign your book.
<\/span>There will be time for questions and to look at what she has brought.

Joanna talks about her research into knitting and mental illness. She talks about how the study has been carried out and what results have emerged. Among other things, about how knitting can not only be soothing but also provide security, increase faith in one's own abilities and provide a social context. Finally, the advantages of knitting as a creative activity are discussed. There is also the opportunity to ask questions.<\/p>

Joanna Nordstrand is a specialist in occupational therapy and a PhD student at the University of Gothenburg. Has many years of experience working as an occupational therapist in a multimodal rehab team for people with long-term pain and\/or mild mental illness as well as with green rehab with people with stress-related illness.<\/p>
